Fishing with a rod and a line
You may look at prospecting or finding people to buy what you are selling as something akin to the sport of fishing.
This is what you need to know about the sport.
- Fish are always moving around. Meaning that they are not always there. You have to find them and once you have you have to keep your eye on them in order to know where they are hiding.
- Fish are not always hungry Meaning you can offer them your bait (food?) or lure but they won't take it.
- When fish are ready to eat, they will move to an area where they have eaten, gotten food before or they think may have the food they want. Meaning they will go to old sources which they have found to be reliable. They may go to an area that they have some knowledge that there may be something they want. It's the knowledge of something that may be available that gets them to consider your offering. However, sometimes if they have the urge and something is tendered, at just that time, they will accept it.

- Take charge of your area and make it your territory. You search out all of your territory to find and identify locations where the fish may be or are.
- Offer the fish in that specific location something. Let the fish know you have something available.
- When the fish takes the bait or lure, reel it in.
